Sam & Adam Scafell Pike
Fundraising for Dementia UK & The British Heart Foundation
Our very own Sam Box will be challenging himself this coming weekend by taking on Scafell Pike, the highest peak in England and part of the Snowdon mountains, fundraising for Dementia UK & The British Heart Foundation alongside his brother Adam.
Hi I’m Sam, thank you for taking your time to read about this chalenge.
We were aiming to summit Snowdon twice in one day but have had to change it up a bit. We are instead taking on Scafell Pike the highest peak in England. This is our first time up this mountain, so we are very much looking forward to it!!! 958m of ascent will no doubt take its toll.
So, this is what we are doing, Now here is Why.
The reasons for doing it are close to mine, Adams, and the whole family’s heart. Adams Wife Deanne tragically lost her beloved Nan Sue August last year which sent shock waves throughout our families and left a huge whole in everyone's hearts.
We also lost our Incredible Nan to dementia after a long battle in January 2021. This has left a void that will never be filled, and she is missed every day.
Me and Adam decided to embark on this challenge to raise money for The British Heart Foundation.
Heart Disease remains one of the most common causes of death and I think Covid has meant that everyone’s focus has been on this Virus rather than heart disease and Cancer etc. So, lets kick start some fundraising for The British Heart Foundation. Any Donations will be massively appreciated.
All the Best Sam & Adam
