REQUIREMENTS FOR ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS: IET WIRING REGULATIONS: BS 7671:2008 COURSE INCORPORATING AMENDMENT 3:2015
The BS 7671 is the British standard for wiring regulations for low voltage systems in the UK. Although it is not a statutory document, every electrician or domestic installer will have to, by law demonstrate that they comply with a number of legislative documents.
WHY CHOOSE THIS TRAINING COURSE?
Even if you have completed a level 3 NVQ or a previous version of the wiring regulations, you still will have to prove you are conversant with the current standards. So therefore, keeping up to date with the latest wiring regulations satisfies these requirements.
Although the BS 7671 can be a hard book to navigate, our course has been designed in such a way as to ensure that you will have the knowledge to identify and find the topics covered in each of the relevant parts of the book. The course will run over three full days and is classroom based. Throughout each of the days, you will gain a good understanding of the key regulations in each part and also how to navigate your way around the book for the others.
17th Edition Course Content:
This is a classroom based course. It is designed to bring you up to speed withal the latest 17th Edition wiring regulations including all the latest amendments. You will learn all the key regulations that you will find in day to day installations, as well as understand how to reference your regs book for the more obscure ones. The course then culminates in an open book multiple choice exam which allows 2 minutes to answer each question. This means you can take your copy of the BS7671 book into the exam and refer to it as and when required.

What About Older 17th Edition Courses?
Please note that the City & Guilds 2382-10 and 2382-20 courses were discontinued in 2012. The 2382-12 will be available until July 2015 however we will be running the most up to date 2382-15 17th edition course from the 21/01/2015
The exam will take place on a 4th day (to be arranged with the group) and is a computer based, open book multiple choice exam. This exam will last for 2 hours and therefore you will have an average of 2 minutes per question. As part of our sessions, you will work through example exam questions as well as several timed mock tests to fully prepare you for the final examination. As an open book exam, you will be allowed to bring in your copy of the BS 7671 (Yellow book) so by completing our mock tests, this will give you the invaluable practice in navigating through the book under test conditions.
